Detroit EMS Unit Stolen By Joyriding Teens
A joyride in a Detroit EMS Unit didn't last long.
Shortly after 11 o'clock Tuesday night, two teens stole EMS Unit #10 near Linwood and Elmhurst, on Detroit's west side.
Within minutes, several Detroit police units were looking for the vehicle. A description of the vehicle was broadcast to surrounding communities, and moments later, the vehicle was spotted near Iris and Elmira.
The teens then tried to run from the police, but were caught a short time later. The teens are 14 and 18 years old, and are in police custody.
No damage to the unit…nothing missing, and no patient was in the rig when it was stolen.
Detroit EMS Unit #10 is now back in service.
