Detroit Cop Struck, Injured On Motorcycle
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit police officer was taken to a local hospital Monday afternoon after he was hit by an SUV while driving his department motorcycle.
Police said they believe the driver of the SUV was making a U-turn at the intersection of 20th and Vernor in Southwest Detroit when she hit the officer's bike.
The officer suffered serious injuries.
Police said the woman driving the SUV stopped at the scene of the crash. There was no word about possible charges.
No names have been released.
