Detroit App Developer Part Of Entrepreneurship Exhibit At GOP Convention
DETROIT -- Detroit's Marxent Labs said Tuesday that it will join 70 of Michigan's most promising startup companies at the Republican National Convention to showcase how entrepreneurs, small business and innovation are creating jobs and providing training for the work force of the future.
The companies were selected by Startup America, StartUpHire, Venture for America, Opportunity Nation and Purpose, with support from the Tampa Bay Times.
Part of the "Opportunity: What is Working" initiative, with partners that include Huffington Post, Microsoft, NBC News, LinkedIn and Starbucks, the expo will follow a panel discussion moderated by Tom Brokaw. The exhibit will take place Wednesday from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Cuban Club, 2010 Avenida Republica de Cuba in Tampa.
Beck Besecker will represent Marxent Labs of Detroit. Marxent Labs builds custom mobile apps for iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows that incorporate mobile commerce, geolocation, social media and augmented reality, among other features.
