Detroit A Natural Backdrop For Photographers
DETROIT (WWJ) - It's summer in the city -- and photographers are finding gold in them there old buildings in Detroit.
WWJ's Mike Campbell reports that the wide variety and rich backdrop that Detroit offers photographers is the reason J. Singleton is moving his base of operations from Kalamazoo to Detroit.
"What I'm looking for is something that has kind of clean lines," Singleton told Mike. "As well, something -- strangely -- with a little graffiti on it; something with a little culture to it."
Singleton says Detroit has what a lot of photographers are after. That's why so many choose to do shoots in Detroit. And, that's why Singleton chose Detroit for a portfolio gig he was hired to do for a couple of aspiring models.
He used the old Globe building on Atwater as the backdrop.
