Delvon Roe Would Portray A Wolverine

By: Mike Stone

Former Michigan State basketball star is starting to have a nice career since his basketball days ended due to injury. As you may remember, Roe did not play his senior year and was last seen acting in several university theatre productions. He has take that to a new level, with a supporting role in the full length feature film "Love and Honor", that opens in New York and Los Angeles on March 22 with releases in Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Grand Rapids among others.

The film stars Liam Hemsworth (Hunger Games), Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies), and Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights). The film is about a soldier and his friend who sneak back home to Ann Arbor during the Vietnam War to win back the love of the soldiers girlfriend.

Roe, who has had Twitter wars with Michigan fans, told me that he would have no problem playing the role of Jalen Rose if they ever made a movie about the Fab 5, "Absolutely I could play that role. I would love to do that. That would be fun. Everything on Twitter is fun. Those were all jokes. I give them a ton or respect."

He obviously is following his fellow teammates as the NCAA tournament begins this week. Roe thinks the Spartans can go to the Final Four, and told me an interesting person could depict Tom Izzo in a movie, saying "I think Leonardo Dicaprio could do it, I would love to see him in that role."
