Delmia's 'Robot Whisperers' Debut Online
Adding a little fun into the manufacturing mix, The Auburn Hills-based Delmia business unit of France's Dassault Systemes has launched an on-demand e-series called "The Robot Whisperers."
Designed to provide education to automation and robot programmers in an entertaining format, Dassault Systemes has proven that manufacturing doesn't have to be dry. Stars of the series are Delmia's own robotic specialists, Tony Karew of Lake Orion and Mike Laperre of Macomb Township, who appear to be thoroughly enjoying their new-found stardom.
Promotional materials such as desktop screen savers have been developed to help promote the series.

The first two episodes are titled "Robots in 3D" and "Robotology for Arc Welding." Each episode illustrates how 3D simulation technology can help companies reduce time, cost and improve quality of specific robotic applications.
