Dearborn Man Convicted In Officer Hit-And-Run
TAYLOR (WWJ) - A Dearborn man charged in the hit-and-run death of a Taylor police officer has been found guilty on all counts.
The 40-year old Nino Delpiano was charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with the fatal car crash that killed Taylor Auxiliary Reserve Lt. Danny Kromer.
It happened back in September, when police say Kromer stopped to help a couple who was lost along I-94 at Pelham Road in Taylor.
Delpiano, who has been convicted in the past on charged including drug possession and receiving stolen property, will be sentenced on February 22nd before Judge Linda Parker.
He faces up to life in prison.
