Deadly Shooting At Detroit Nightclub
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police say a 28-year-old Pittsburgh man was shot to death and two other people wounded following a fight at an east side Detroit bar.
It happened at Mai Tai's nightclub/auto repair along the Detroit side of 8 Mile Road, east of Schoenherr Road just before 2 a.m. Monday morning.
Detroit police said a fight broke out inside the bar and the shots were fired outdoors as some of those involved were leaving. A 25-year-old woman and 39-year-old man were wounded and listed Monday morning in stable condition.
There's some question as to who pulled the trigger that killed the man. A relative claims it was a bouncer, but security claims it was someone else who was with the victim at the time things got out of hand.
Homicide forensic investigators spent the morning piecing together evidence. It was not immediately known if the incident was caught on security tape, but police were looking into it.
There have been on arrests.
No names have been released.
