David Stern: NBA Hopes Pistons Don't Move
In his first public comments concerning the sale of the Detroit Pistons, NBA commissioner David Stern said his preference is for the franchise that's won three championships to remain in Motown, but precedent shows that sometimes franchises are unable to remain.
After a news conference where he mostly addressed the uncertain labor situation and LeBron James joining the Miami Heat, the Free Press asked Stern about the league's commitment to the Detroit market.
