Dantonio Says Raises Coming For Assistants
EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio says his assistant coaches are receiving raises.
Dantonio didn't specify any assistants or go into much more detail Tuesday. He says the raises begin February.
Dantonio's own contract was reworked earlier this year. He agreed to a new five-year deal, increasing his annual compensation from $1.8 million to $1.83 million.
No. 11 Michigan State plays at Northwestern this weekend, then will face either Penn State or Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game.
Defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi, the most prominent of the assistants, was coy when asked about the raises. But he says he'll be "fired up" if it happens.
