Danlaw Acquires MicroMax
FARMINGTON HILLS -- Danlaw Inc., a provider of automotive electronics and embedded engineering services, Friday announced it has acquired the Canton Township embedded software tool maker and services provider MicroMax, Inc.
"The quality products and services of MicroMax, along with its highly regarded position in the automotive software development and testing business, dovetail with Danlaw's three decades of service to the automotive industry," said Dan McClung, vice president of operations and engineering services for Farmington Hills-based Danlaw.
MicroMax's software testing product, Mx-Suite, enhances Danlaw's portfolio of products and services, designed to help automotive module suppliers produce their products more efficiently and with higher quality than traditional methods.
Using an intuitive graphical interface, software requirements are easily captured along with performance criteria, tolerances, and traceability links between requirements and test cases.
Mx-Suite simplifies validation and offers high levels of automation for key process steps:
* Testing development concepts using virtual prototypes, long before electronics are available.
* Validating Simulink/Stateflow models (MiL).
* Executing tests on developer-written or auto-coded software (SiL).
* Running tests with bench and hardware in the loop (HiL) test equipment.
Said Danlaw CEO Raju Dandu: "MicroMax fits perfectly with the aggressive growth goals set for our engineering services division. Our strategic plan included further addition of software engineering tools and expansion of our engineering services in the USA; this acquisition delivers on both. We welcome the MicroMax team into the close knit Danlaw family."
Added MicroMax president Mike McCormack: "Our joining Danlaw will greatly benefit our collective customer base and enhance the Mx-Suite. Customers will have access to a larger resource pool and Danlaw's global reach, thus expanding the Mx-Suite footprint, driving continued investment toward improving the Mx-Suite capabilities."
