Crews Rescue Woman From 6th Floor During Fire
LANSING (AP) - Crews rescued a woman from a sixth-floor apartment balcony during a fire at a senior citizen facility in Lansing.
The Lansing State Journal reports firefighters were called Friday morning to Friendship Manor for a fire on the sixth floor. The fire was contained to one apartment, but smoke and water damage forced an evacuation.
The fire department says the woman who was rescued was taken to a hospital for treatment. A firefighter reportedly sustained a minor injury while responding to the blaze.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
