Craigslist Post Advertises Nate Burleson's Wrecked, Rebuilt Yukon

Everyone likes a good comeback story -- this one happens to be about a customized 2009 GMC Yukon that Nate Burleson practically destroyed in a 2013 accident.

The Craigslist post reads, "... the actual vehicle that Nate Burleson of the Detroit Lions owned and wrecked while trying to save his pizza from hitting the floor. This is true story and the vehicle is the original one owned by Nate."

Via email OP said the truck is in good shape and has been driven for the last year by the owner's son. They're asking $19,999 for it. The current owners run a trucking company and acquired the Yukon at an auction. They had their in-house body guy fix it up and it currently has 47,000 miles.

The former Detroit Lion wide receiver turned NFL Network analyst wrecked his GMC Yukon trying to save a pizza sliding off his passenger seat.

Photos Burleson posted after the accident showed how dramatic the damage was.

He broke his arm in two places and the close call scared him enough to vow to keep his focus on the road.

By the looks of the new photos, OP has one heck of a body guy.

Clearly, buying a car that has been in a major accident will involve some research on your part. Check out the Michigan laws on rebuilt salvage. If the car was deemed salvage, you'll want to make sure you can get it registered and insured before buying.
