Cost Of Filling Up Is Going Down
DETROIT (WWJ) - The cost of filling up is going down.
The average price of a gallon of gasoline has dropped six cents over the past two weeks to $3.65. That, according to the newest Lundberg Survey. Publisher Trilby Lundberg anticipates that trend will continue.
"Retailers ... receiving more wholesale price cuts from refiners than they have yet passed through," Lundberg said. "I think that quite a few of them are poised to cut retail prices to us in the next few days; maybe another four to six, to seven cents."
Gas prices around metro Detroit are averaging $3.61 a gallon. Following are average regular unleaded gas prices in other areas across Southeastern Michigan, according to AAA:
