Conan O'Brien Can't Stop: More Than Just Fun And Games
NOVI (WWJ) - In mid-2009, Conan O'Brien took over the late-night timeslot on NBC occupied by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. But, O'Brien's "Late Night" lasted for a mere seven months. Why? Basically, because NBC decided to move Leno out of the primetime slot they moved him to, back to late night.
As a result, due to contractual obligations, Conan briefly disappeared from the spotlight. When he returned, he did so in a BIG way. He set out on a 32-city music and comedy tour he called "The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour." He ended his tour after signing a deal with cable TV station TBS to host "Conan."
Now, Conan can be seen on the big screen, starring in "Conan O'Brien Can't Stop." "Conan O'Brien Can't Stop" is a film that gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at his "Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour." It also provides an inside look at just how crafty and smart O'Brien is. What starts out as a brief history into what happened with him when he was set to take over the biggest show on late nights, smoothly transitions into a film that gives the audience another view of this extremely intelligent and multi-talented individual.
I'd be the first to admit that I wasn't too thrilled to go see a movie that was a documentary, but as soon as the intro kicked in, I found myself deeply immersed in the storyline and the laugh-out-loud jokes. "Conan O'Brien Can't Stop" isn't your typical documentary, but more of a behind-closed-doors view of what makes Conan O'Brien tick.
I highly recommend this film to Conan O'Brien fans, everyone who loves crafty humor and those anxious for more information into what happened to Conan not long after he took to late night TV's biggest stage.
