Computer Hacker Trial Delayed
PONTIAC (WWJ/AP) - The attorney for a Detroit area man charged with hacking into his estranged wife's computer to access her e-mails says the trial has been pushed back to allow more time to prepare the case.
Attorney Leon Weiss says that Leon Walker's trial is scheduled to start April 11th in Oakland County Circuit Court in Pontiac. It had been scheduled for February.
A prosecutor charged the 33-year-old Oakland County information technology worker from Rochester Hills after 35-year-old Clara Walker filed a complaint against him last year.
Leon Walker says Clara Walker had previously told him the password and he went into the e-mails to confirm she was taking their 3-year-old daughter on liaisons with her second husband. Clara Walker denies giving him the password.
The Walkers were divorced in December.
