Comcast To Offer College Football On ESPN 3D
Comcast will bring viewers 2010 college football games in next-generation three-dimensional TV via ESPN 3D.
The game will take place at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, featuring defending Big Ten champion and No. 3 Ohio State against No. 19 Miami of the ACC.
It's the first meeting of the schools since Ohio State topped Miami to win the national championship in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl.
Earlier this year, Comcast partnered with Augusta National Golf Club to deliver the first live national 3D sporting event with the Masters Tournament and brought the 2010 FIFA World Cup semi-finals and finals and NASCAR's Coke Zero 400 to viewers in 3D.
The following week, on Sept. 18, features a showdown between traditional powers from top conferences when Clemson from the ACC travels to Auburn from the SEC. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Viewers can catch the college football live on their local ESPN 3D channel and can also watch games in 3D the next day On Demand.
Comcast's Michigan Region serves more than one million customers statewide and employs approximately 4,000 people. Comcast has three major call centers located in the state and houses its Michigan Region headquarters in Southfield.
