Cold Case Murder: Family Wants Closure

DETROIT (WWJ) - The parents of a 20-year old Detroit man, shot and killed last summer, are still searching for answers, nearly eight months later.

It's a question that Jarett Brown's parents, friends and police hope somebody has an answer to. There are many unanswered questions surrounding the murder of Jarett Brown on August 5, 2010.

"About 2 a.m. when an unknown person was standing in the backyard and began to fire at them. Jarett was fatally wounded," says Detroit Police Sergeant Ken Gardner.

Jarett  (known to his friends as Bishop) was walking with three friends at the time along Maple Ridge near Chalmers, one other person was wounded but recovered.

Sgt. Gardner says there were witnesses to the shooting but the person(s) with the information needed has yet to come forward.
