TechTeam to Host and Manage SaaS for CA Technologies: The Southfield IT and business process outsourcing provider TechTeam Global Inc. (Nasdaq: TEAM) announced today that it has been selected by CA Technologies (Nasdaq: CA) to host and manage its CA Service Desk Manager On Demand SaaS offering for customers in North America and Europe. The CA Service Desk Manager On Demand solution gives customers access to a suite of powerful IT service management tools via a cloud computing delivery model. It is a fully ITIL pre-configured version of CA Service Desk Manager, featuring workflow-driven automation for incident, problem, change, request and knowledge management. CA Service Desk Manager On Demand will also feature the industry's first SaaS-based enterprise service desk collaboration platform, CA Open Space. In support of CA Service Desk Manager On Demand, TechTeam will provide CA Technologies with implementation, hosting and maintenance services for production and demonstration environments. Crane Maker Picks Altair HyperWorks: Troy-based Altair Engineering Inc. announced that the German development department of the crane manufacturer Tadano Faun Group has selected the HyperWorks suite of computer-aided engineering tools to develop and optimize the design of its cranes. After intensive benchmarking, during which Faun tested a variety of CAE tools on-site, HyperWorks was the clear choice. Faun will use the entire suite of products, including HyperMesh RADIOSS, HyperView and OptiStruct, for its product development process across the company.
