Q Ltd. Creates New Corporate Identity and Web Site for applEcon: The Ann Arbor creative show Q Ltd. said it had completed the development of a new corporate identity, Web site and marketing materials for applEcon, an independent economics consulting firm. With a successful ten-year history and an eye toward the future, applEcon chose to partner with Q LTD in an extensive re-branding and strategic research project that provided the foundation for the development of a new identity, Web site, corporate brochure, e-newsletter, and marketing and recruiting materials. Based in Ann Arbor, applEcon is a unique group of economists who provide expert economic analysis and consulting to litigation attorneys, legal teams, and businesses nationwide. As a result of research, Q strategists were able to provide applEcon with greater insight into the values and priorities of decision makers. Q also acquired insight on the web site user experience, which guided Q's interactive team in the development of the new web site architecture, content strategy, and final site design. Washington county goes live on Manatron: Portage-based Manatron Inc., a developer of integrated property tax and land administration software for governments worldwide, Tuesday announced that Yakima County, Washington is now live on Manatron's GRM eConvey software. This software will enable the county to offer electronic real estate excise tax processing through integration with the current deed recording system and Manatron's tax collection software across three county offices: assessor, treasurer and auditor-recorder. Unique to Washington but not dissimilar from other state requirements, before a property is bought or sold, excise transfer tax must be collected. Manatron's GRM eConvey makes it easier for county tax collectors, treasurers, assessors and auditors-recorders to quickly review, approve and process all documents related to real estate excise taxes and property conveyances. EConvey automatically processes electronic document files and images of the submissions received from attorneys and title and escrow companies to convey property to a new owner. There are numerous benefits of electronic processing for both the county and the customer. Processing documentation electronically saves counties a significant amount of money on postage, paper, printing and handling, while minimizing their environmental footprint. For title companies, this system eliminates the need for document couriers. For the homebuyer, it offers a more efficient means for processing paperwork, resulting in a faster turnaround for a complete sale and move-in date. Manatron is a privately held company and an investment of the private equity firm Thoma Bravo, LLC. More at www.manatron.com.
