California First District Court of Appeal Picks ImageSoft TrueFiling Electronic Filing: The California First District Court of Appeal has chosen TrueFiling, an electronic filing system from Southfield-based ImageSoft Inc., as its e-filing system. TrueFiling was selected after ImageSoft responded to a request for proposal issued in February by the California Administrative Office of the Court seeking a modern, efficient, intuitive e-filing portal for attorneys, government filers and self-represented filers with the capability to serve the state's six Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court. TrueFiling is a 7x24 Web-based e-file tool that improves overall efficiency for the courts and filers by drastically reducing paper handling. The solution allows documents to flow smoothly from the Internet into the case file and streamlines and speeds up the court's internal processes through automated workflow. The scope of the work for ImageSoft will include implementing, deploying, hosting, training, maintenance and support of the TrueFiling system. Implementation is currently under way with the Court of Appeal for the First Appellate District in San Francisco. The Supreme Court and the remaining five Appellate Districts are expected to begin implementing TrueFiling once implementation in the First Appellate District is completed in January 2014. ImageSoft, Inc. provides document and process management software and services to automate, streamline and improve workplace processes. Since 1996, ImageSoft's technology has increased productivity, reduced operating costs and saved time and money for customers in government, healthcare and the insurance industry.
