Several Counties Contract for Upgrades to Manatron's GRM Recorder: Portage-based Manatron INc., a provider of property tax and records management software for state and local governments, announced that the following counties have launched upgrades from legacy Manatron solutions to GRM Recorder: Mecklenburg, North Carolina; Kootenai, Idaho; Pierce, Washington; Alachua, Florida and Victoria, Texas. GRM Recorder offers a comprehensive solution for records management and automated recording and indexing operations, and will provide these counties with an updated technology platform to improve the service they provide to their constituents. Manatron, a privately held company and an investment of private equity firm Thoma Bravo, LLC, provides software and services for state and local governments to completely, fairly and efficiently assess real and personal property, and to bill and collect the related property taxes in their jurisdictions. VanDyk Mortgage Corp. Selects GCC Servicing Systems: Southfield-based GCC Servicing Systems, a provider of mortgage servicing technology, announced that Grand Rapids-based VanDyk Mortgage Corp. has selected GCC's G/Serv platform to fulfill the mortgage banker's loan servicing needs. VanDyk has closed over $5 billion in mortgage loans since its opening in 1987. It selected GCC based on a referral from a fellow lender, as well as the company's expertise with Fannie Mae loans. In 2010, the lender increased its servicing volume by 75 percent. GCC's G/Serv platform helped make this growth possible with automated reporting capabilities that enable VanDyk to automate compliance with investors' specific requirements, as well as those of federal and state agencies. TRW Automotive to Supply Electric Steering for a Range of Light Commercial Vans: Livonia-based TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. (NYSE: TRW) announced a major contract win to supply a range of vehicle manufacturers with electrically powered hydraulic steering for light commercial vehicle (LCV) van platforms that will launch in 2013. TRW's EPHS offers comparable fuel economy and CO2 reduction benefits to full electric steering, but EPHS also accommodates higher rack load applications. The European Commission has recently announced plans for even tighter emissions targets for LCVs of 175g/km by 2017 and 147g/km by 2020. Charlie Cregeur, global steering product planning director for TRW, said: "This mature technology supports light commercial or panel vans, as they're called ... With more than 20 million systems in the field, EPHS is a proven solution and fleet operators can be confident of its reliability and performance."
