Clarkston Woman Killed In Head-On Crash
INDEPENDENCE TWP. (WWJ) - Police say a 55-year-old Clarkston woman was killed in a two-car crash Tuesday in Oakland County's Independence Township.
The Oakland County Sheriffs Office said Laurel Fyfe was turning at Sashabaw and Clarkston roads around 10:30 am when her 2004 Nissan was hit head-on by another vehicle. Investigators said the driver of the other car, who suffered minor injuries, had a green light.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital, where Fyfe was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
Police believe Fyfe was not wearing a seatbelt. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
