Chrysler Cancels First Shifts, Second Shifts To Report
DETROIT (WWJ) - The snowstorm that dropped eight to ten inches of snow on southeast Michigan has forced Chrysler to cancel first shifts at its Jefferson North, Sterling Heights Assembly and Stamping and Warren Truck Assembly and Warren Stamping plants.
Second shift employees are being told to report to work at their normal start times.
The severe weather conditions and parts shortages created the perfect storm for Chrysler which forced the multi-plant closings.
