Child Critical, Burned In East Side Fire
DETROIT (WWJ) - A 3-year-old girl is in critical condition following a house fire on Detroit's east side.
Police officers were first on the scene at the home on Cooper Street, near Warren Avenue. But officials said they were not able to get inside because of the flames.
The child was then found in the upstairs bedroom. Police said there was also an adult in the home at the time, but she was able to get out.
No one else was injured.
Arson investigators were on the scene later Tuesday. However preliminary indications show that the fire was suspicious.
