Chicago Native's Online Business Moves To Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) -- The days of clunky, time-consuming group food ordering is about to meet its demise, thanks to www.foodjunky.com.
The online food ordering platform Foodjunky comes to downtown Detroit's growing tech corridor from Chicago, where the company was originally launched, to join Bizdom, a nonprofit entrepreneurship accelerator for digital start-ups in the city.

"Our goal is to turn group ordering into a pleasant and enjoyable experience for both our customers and the restaurants in our network," said Johnson. "It's an undertaking to collect food orders for a large group. At the same time, it's challenging for restaurants to take the orders over the phone – often resulting in errors. Foodjunky uses technology to simplify the group food ordering process, making the process more efficient for restaurants and consumers alike while making sure everyone gets exactly what they ordered."
Last month Foodjunky launched its service with 26 restaurants and is adding more each week.
