Chauncey Billups To Be Inducted Into University Of Colorado Hall Of Fame
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Basketball standout Chauncey Billups leads a class of 11 former athletes, coaches and administrators being inducted into the University of Colorado Hall of Fame.
The ceremony is set for Nov. 5 at the Coors Events Center.
Billups played two seasons with the Buffaloes, leading the team to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in nearly three decades as a sophomore in 1996-97. He was drafted third overall by Boston and went on to play 17 seasons in the NBA. He won a title with Detroit in 2003-04.
The school also will honor Bill Fanning (baseball), Stephan Hienzsch (skiing), Jon Burianek (administration), Frank Prentup (baseball and assistant football coach), Mike Pritchard (football), Erin Scholz (basketball), Mark Scrutton (cross country and track), Nicole Vranesh (volleyball), Scott Wedman (basketball) and Tom Woodard (golf).
