Charles Barkley Calls Rockets GM Daryl Morey "One Of Those Idiots Who Believes In Analytics."

Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey is having a little bit of a war of words.
At his job as a studio analyst for TNT, basketball great Charles Barkley was confronted with a tweet from the Rockets GM saying, "Best part of being at a TNT game live is it is easy to avoid Charles spewing misinformed biased vitriol disguised as entertainment."
The Rockets took on the Phoenix Suns as the late game for TNT.
Barkley had previously called the Rockets the worst defensive team in the league and many believe that's why Morey sent out that tweet.
Barkley mentions that sometimes the numbers don't dictate whether or not you actually have a good team.
"All these guys who run these organizations who talk about analytics, they have one thing in common -- they're a bunch of guys who have never played the game, and they never got the girls in high school, and they just want to get in the game."
Where Barkley probably went over the line when he called Morey, "one of those idiots who believes in analytics."
The funniest part to me is when Barkley says, " I wouldn't even know Daryl Marvey if he walked into the room right now." Shaq instantly starts laughing, as Barkley couldn't even say his name correct.
Barkley comes from the old school philosophy of basketball: Show me your play on the floor and not on the stat sheet.
My favorite quote from Barkley was, "First of all I've always believed analytics was crap."
