Charges Filed Involving Car Tied To Missing Teens
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - Authorities in Detroit have filed charges against two men accused of larceny and obstruction of justice in connection with a car used by two missing Westland teens.
Charges against 39-year-old Casey Green and 40-year-old Larry Anderson, both of Detroit, were announced Saturday. Besides larceny and obstruction of justice, Green and Anderson are charged with tampering with evidence.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said Green and Anderson allegedly stole various items from the 2001 Chevy Cavalier that was last seen in the possession of 18-year-old Jacob Kudla and 17-year-old Jourdan Bobbish.
The teens disappeared last Sunday night after leaving the east side Detroit home of Kudla's uncle. The Cavalier was found the next day abandoned at a west side apartment with its sound system removed.
Both suspects have criminal histories; Anderson was charged with home invasion and third degree criminal sexual conduct in 2002, while Green has a bank robbery and two weapons charges from 2003.
Meantime, the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office is working to identify the bodies of two males found Friday in a vacant Detroit field. The bodies, found dressed only in undergarments, appeared to have been shot and are believed to be the teens.
