Charges Filed In Michigan In Online 'Sextortion' Case
DETROIT (WWJ) - More charges have been filed against an Indiana man accused in an online sexual extortion case.
Richard Finkbiner was charged in federal court in Detroit with inducing and coercing a minor to produce child pornography.
Investigators allege Finkbiner coerced a 14-year old Oakland County boy and as many as 100 other teenagers across the nation into recording and sending him sexually explicit videos. The boy eventually alerted his parents and Finkbiner was arrested.
Finkbiner is jailed on similar charges in Indiana. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.
As the investigation continues, prosecutors say this could turn out to be the largest case of online sexual extortion in U.S. history.
