Charges Expected In Highland Park Child Abuse, Death

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy is expected announces charges in the case of a Highland Park boy was who allegedly abused and starved to death.
Prosecutors say 4-year-old Robert Byrd weighed only 24 pounds when his bruised body was found on Mother's Day in a home police say had no beds, just blankets and a few pieces of furniture.
Police said the boy had been physically abused and burned, and had bedsores, bruises and cuts from a razor blade. Investigators suspect he had been tortured before his death.
Robert's aunt, who is his legal guardian, and his uncle were arrested on Sunday.
There were five other children in the home but police say they did not appear to have been abused. They are now in protective custody.
