Celebrating "Lucky 13″ (Video)
General Motors Flint Assembly Plant--which has been home to a number of different vehicles over its 63 year history--seeing a very special pickup truck roll off its assembly line--number 13 million.
With all that General Motors has gone through, the moment seemed a little more special for the more than two thousand people who work at the plant.
"After everything that happened last summer, wondering if we'd even be open right now, that we're booming as much as we are, and we have so many good things going on here, it's just so encouraging," said Brian Groves, who's worked for GM for more than thirty years.

GM currently builds pickups at Flint truck, including the heavy duty versions of the Sierra and Silverado. It's also built the Chevy Corvette, Bel Air and Suburban. Many of those vehicles were on display for the big celebration.
Of the 13 million vehicles built at Flint Assembly, 9 million have been trucks.
The 13 millionth vehicle was a Heavy Duty Sierra pickup, dubbed "Lucky 13." It also happened to be the 13th GM pickup purchased by James Stubbings of Shelby Township.
"I may put something in the rear window, the 13 millionth truck from Flint assembly, something like that," Stubbings told WWJ AutoBeat Reporter Jeff Gilbert. "I thought it would be a neat item."
Stubbings said other than that, the Sierra would be a work truck, not a collectors item.
General Motors also using the occasion to announce that it was going to be a platinum sponsor for Flint's annual car show, "Back to the Bricks." The next show will be in August of 2011.
