Celebrate Independence Day At Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market
FARMINGTON (WWJ) - Come out to the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market and celebrate Independence Day with the freshest, tastiest local food around. The market will be open on Saturday, July 2 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
There will be plenty of special happenings at the market this weekend for the whole family to enjoy.
Live entertainment features Potter's Field, a Midwest based Folk/Americana/Roots duo known for poetic, gritty lyrics, driving instrumental style, close and powerful vocal harmonies and easy stage presence. You can see the duo at the Market from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Bring your walking shoes for the Fit Farmington 1 mile walking course through Downtown Farmington, beginning at 10:00 am.
The children's Fourth of July parade through the market begins at 11:00 am. Also at 11, you can see what's "Cookin' at the Market" with Chef Cliff Donovan of Grand Celebrations of Farmington.
Among the entertainment, you'll be able to show a fresh selection of Michigan produce, exceptional baked goods, locally-produced honey, hand-crafted soaps and emollients, fine art and jewelry, stunning photography and a variety of unique, artisan-made products.
