Catch US Soccer World Cup Action On the Big And Small Screen

SOUTHFIELD (CBSDetroit.com) - The U.S. men's soccer team will play its biggest game of the 2014 World Cup Thursday in Brazil against Germany, and fans have a number of conspicuous and inconspicuous ways to watch the important match.
With a tie or victory against Germany, the Americans can advance to the next round of the tournament. Soccer fans who have access to a television can watch the game at noon on ESPN.
The game will likely be shown in a number of bars and restaurants around Metro Detroit for those who wish to take a long lunch. Viewing locations include local Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants, which has a number of promotions connected with the tournament, and Thomas Magee's Sporting House Whiskey Bar in Eastern Market.
Soccer fans in Detroit who want to watch the game outdoors can head over to Cadillac Square in Detroit, just east of the Campus Martius fountain, to watch the game on a 9-foot by 16-foot LED screen. Admission is free, and there will be a number of food options from street vendors and food trucks.
If an extended lunch is not an option, the game will also be streamed online by ESPN and available on the Watch ESPN app on iOS and Android devices, www.watchespn.com, using the Xfinity TV Go extension for Google Chrome.
