Truck Lands On Boats Docked At Harrison Township Marina
HARRISON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A stunning sight as two boat owners find a truck on top of their boat Saturday night.
The boat owners, who had their boats docked at a Harrison Township Marina, were not happy after finding out a 24-year-old allegedly doing doughnuts nearby lost control of his truck and landed on their boats.
The Macomb County sheriff's office said no one was injured, but the man will be facing charges.
One of the boat owners, Randy Janssen, told Channel 7 that he was standing under his shed near his boat at the Blue Lagoon Marina when a truck barely missed him. As he was about to leave, the driver lost control and the truck launched into the air, finally coming to rest on top of two boats.
"It's totaled," said Janssen, looking at his boat. He estimated the damage at $10,000.
The driver of the truck spent the night in jail after the accident.
His name has not yet been released.
