1. Armstrong went to the "he had to cheat to compete" card - That was one of the biggest fallacies of Armstrong's success in the Tour de France, that he was so much better than other cyclists, he was literally the only top contender who wasn't cheating, and yet he was able to win the race any way.
2. Armstrong's contention his cheating isn't necessarily why other members of his team also did. It was as big a factor as any.
3. Despite the mea culpa, it was difficult to sense any genuine contrition on Armstrong's part.
