The Lions are a 3-point favorite to beat the New Orleans Saints Sunday at Ford Field. The Lions have a better record, 4-2 compared to 2-3 for the Saints. The Saints are 0-3 on the road. The Lions have the No.1 defense in the NFL and New Orleans' All-Pro tight end Jimmy Graham play. It's misleading. These are 3 reasons why:
1. The quarterbacks the Lions faced the last three weeks were Geno Smith, Kyle Orton and Teddy Bridgewater - arguably the worst three in the NFL. The Saints' Drew Brees is one of the best QBs of all time.
2. Brees and New Orleans coach Sean Payton, one of the best offensive minds in the league, have had an extra week to prepare because of a bye last week.
3. The Lions' offense hasn't exactly been a well-oiled machine and their field goal kicking remains a huge concern.
