Calvin Johnson Gets Engaged

Detroit Lions superstar WR Calvin Johnson has decided to take the plunge.
While on a trip to Baltimore to receieve the Ed Block Courage Award, Johnson proposed to his girlfriend Brittney McNorton, a promotions staffer for the Lions.
The Baltimore Sun caught up with McNorton and Johnson while in Baltimore, and they broke the news.
In the video, McNorton was being interviewed and you can see Calvin turn back and smile when she was asked about the engagement.
"I celebrated a birthday last evening and we uh, Calvin and I got engaged," McNorton said.
When asked if the proposal was expected, she said, "I thought it may be coming but I was totally surprised, I had no idea it was coming this soon."
The two were in the media with drama between McNorton and Johnson's alleged baby mama about a year ago, but all has been quiet since.
When discussing the engagement, Calvin played coy.
"I don't what ya'll are talking about, focusing on my job out here, it's been a very enjoyable, very memorable trip out here in Baltimore for many reasons."
Johnson's teammate, Matthew Stafford, is also taking the plunge this year and his fiancee Kelly Hall just celebrated her bachelorette party and the photos are fantastic.
