Cabrera, Fielder Go Hitless With Men In Scoring Position
3B Miguel Cabrera hit with a runner in scoring position Monday night for the first time on Detroit's current road trip but grounded into a double play when he did so. Cabrera had a double in the eighth inning but was stranded. Pitchers have been working him aggressively, and he might be trying to carry the team on his shoulders, which is tough to do.
--1B Prince Fielder was the only Detroit starter not to get a hit Monday might -- and he was the only left-handed batter in the lineup against White Sox LHP Jose Quintana. Fielder had his first at-bat with a runner in scoring position in the four games of the Tigers' current road trip, and he grounded out to second to end the eighth inning.
