CBS DETROIT - Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush missed practice Wednesday and would not say whether he expects to play when the Lions face the Arizona Cardinals on the road Sunday.
"I'm practicing - well, I wouldn't say practicing - I'm approaching this week as though I'm playing on Sunday," Bush told Stoney, Bill and Sara of 97.1 The Ticket.
Bush re-injured his ankle Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. He originally suffered the injury in the game against the Buffalo Bills. Bush was limited in both those games and missed two others because of the ankle.
"It's just one of those deals," Bush said. "It's been an up-and-down season for me, but the positive thing that I take away from all this is we're winning games, we're playing well. I use that as motivation when I'm in there rehabbing and trying to get back on the football field, but obviously I re-injured [the ankle] in the game, and it was tough to come back from."
Bush said the hit he took Sunday would have created a problem even if one did not already exist.
"Honestly, the way I got tackled in that game, even if I didn't have an ankle injury, I would've had one after that tackle," Bush said. "It was just the way he tackled me and the way I fell. I don't know if anybody could survive not having an ankle injury after that tackle."
Against Miami, Bush played just 19 snaps - only 28 percent of Detroit's offensive plays. Bush has not recorded more than six carries in a game since Sept. 28 against the New York Jets.
