Burn Rubber Honors Miguel Cabrera With Triple Crown New Balance Shoes
Detroit (97.1 The Ticket) - Sneakerheads and baseball fans will be lining up to get their hands on this special shoe honoring Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera and his 2012 triple-crown-winning performance.
Detroit shoe store, Burn Rubber worked with New Balance on the custom US574 nicknamed "The Miggy." It features the Tigers navy and orange colors and will be available only at Burn Rubber's 202 West Fourth St., Royal Oak location on April 13, 2013. They will be released in the store at noon. Remaining inventory will be available on the store's website at 1 p.m. Don't count on any leftovers.
"The Miggy" also features a woven tongue label with three crowns on the front and Cabrera's statistics on the back and white camouflage on the foot bed. In honor of Cabrera's 44 home runs, there will only be 44 pairs available.
With the Detroit Tigers home opener taking place on the previous Friday -- Tigers excitement will be hitting a fever pitch.
