Border Agents Make Big Pot Bust
Officials say a truck crossing the border from Windsor to Detroit was carrying a big shipment of hidden cargo worth almost one million dollars.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers inspecting the truck at the Fort Street Cargo facility found duffel bags of marijuana hidden on the underside of the truck's trailer. Officers found nine duffel bags of pot weighing about 2,300 pounds, with an estimated street value of about $950,000.
The 55 year-old Canadian driver has been turned over to investigators from Homeland Security and Border Enforcement Security Task Force for prosecution.
