Booby Trap Found By Michigan Hunter
The discovery of a booby trap device found by a hunter on private property in northern Lower Michigan has State Police investigating.
Trooper Jeff Huovinen tells the Morning Sun of Mount Pleasant he fears copycats after the device was found in a wooded area of Gladwin County's Sherman Township. The device comprised a 15-inch copper pipe that was driven into the ground, and had four razor-edged broadheads that stood just below knee-level.
No injuries were reported.
Huovinen said the device was found by a hunter who had permission to be on the property. He said the unidentified property owners "feel terrible.''
