Body Of Missing Man Found In Flint Area Lake
GENESEE TWP. (WWJ/AP) - Authorities in the Flint area say they've found the body of a 19-year-old man who disappeared in Mott Lake after giving his friend a life jacket when their fishing boat began taking on water.
The body of Trenton Dobrzenski was found Thursday at the lake in Genesee County's Genesee Township, The Flint Journal reported. Searchers using a Michigan State Police cadaver dog discovered the body near the shoreline on the south side of the lake.
An autopsy is expected to be performed Friday.
Dobrzenski was missing since May 1. Investigators say the pair was rushing back to shore in the boat at the time of the accident when Dobrzenski suddenly stopped the craft, causing it to take on water and capsize. The two men began sharing a life jacket, but eventually split up. The friend who was on the boat swam to shore and contacted authorities.
