Body Found On Lake Michigan Beach IDed As Va. Man

Police have confirmed the identity of a body that washed up on a Lake Michigan beach about three miles north of South Haven.

The Kalamazoo Gazette and WWMT-TV report Friday that 28-year-old Jeffrey Stratton was discovered by beach walkers Sunday in southern Allegan County.

The newspaper reports the man from Amherst, Va., was a temporary worker at the nearby Palisades Nuclear Plant and rented a house in South Haven.

Michigan State Police officials say they don't believe foul play was involved in Stratton's death.
