It's a tragic end to the story of a missing Detroit man who suffered from Dementia.
Livonia Police are investigating after the body 72-year old James Ham was found dead in the parking lot of the Cosco store at Schoolcraft and Middlebelt Thursday, one day after he was reported missing from his home in the area of Plymouth and Greenfield.
Police were called to the store around 4:30am Thursday morning about the man. A section of the northwest corner of the parking lot was cornered off with yellow crime scene tape as two squad cars standby. A white sheet cover the man's body
"It appears that he had walked away a few other times in last few months," said Livonia Police Sgt. Jim Setterlit.
Sgt. Setterlit said there were no signs of foul play, trauma or a struggle.
Police are awaiting autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death, but it is believed that Ham suffered from hypothermia.
