Billhighway Introduces New Mobile Fundraising App For Nonprofits
NEW YORK -- Charitable fundraising went mobile Wednesday in New York City.
Troy-based Billhighway launched its innovative mobile fundraising application Billhighway Give at FinovateFall 2012. Held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, the event showcases the best in financial and banking technology from leading innovators.
The live presentation demonstrated how the Give mobile fundraising application provides a better way to collect donations, with even more nonprofit functionality than existing mobile payment solutions.
Give enables donors to safely and securely swipe their credit or debit card to make a charitable contribution via a Smartphone.
Nonprofits begin collecting donations within minutes, letting them use those funds to fuel the delivery of their core missions. The demo also showcased features specifically designed for nonprofits to track campaign progress, integrate with existing systems and encourage fundraising success.
"It was truly exhilarating to debut this important innovation, which resides at the intersection of philanthropy and technology," notes Vincent Thomas, CEO and founder of Billhighway, who presented the demonstration with Billhighway CMO Michelle Lange. "With an overall theme of 'They Give, You Grow,' the financial technology community saw first-hand that mobile fundraising can be smart, engaging and effective — a great example of technology used for good. "
The presentation included a look at how Give is supporting Delta Delta Delta's national fraternity charitable efforts to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Billhighway asked Finovate attendees to try out Give themselves, by donating to this important cause. Billhighway matched each gift to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital dollar for dollar.
