• Miss Michigan Night: All 32 Miss Michigan contestants will participate in Miss Michigan Night at Comerica Park. All contestants, along with the current reigning Miss Michigan Elizabeth Wertenberger, will participate in a question and answer session and a special pregame ceremony. The Children's Miracle Network, the national platform for the Miss America Organization, will also be present. Representatives from Beaumont Hospital, one of the four Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, will make a special announcement. Kayla Goeringer, a former patient and cancer survivor, was selected by the National Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to represent Michigan as the 2012 Children's Miracle Network Hospital Champion. Kayla, who will be present with her family, will be the Miracle ambassador to help bring awareness to the work being done at children's hospitals across the state. Elizabeth Wertenberger, current Miss Michigan, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
