Bicyclist Struck By Railroad Crossing Gate, Dragged By Train
DETROIT (WWJ) - A bicyclist suffered minor injuries after being struck and dragged by a train on Detroit's east side.
It happened Monday night when the 59-year-old man had stopped for a train approaching the railroad crossing near Van Dyke and McNichols on the city's east side.
As the man was stopping his bike, he was struck by a crossing gate. He fell on the tracks and was dragged by a train for about 10 feet. He was taken to St. John's Hospital and treated for a cut on his arm.
