This peaceful Clinton Township park boasts great playscapes, clean bathrooms, a waterfall, gorgeous gardens and 5,000 feet of walking and bike paths. When you are there you forget that Groesback is just on the other side. Unrelated, George George is also a great place to take wedding pictures!

A historic site is at the heart of Wayne County's Hines Park, this park has it all: a playground, interpretive nature center, large picnic shelter, two ball diamonds and more. This spot was an important meeting point for the three Algonquin Indian Tribes - the Ottawo, Ojibwa, and Potowatami - during the late 1700s. Located on Ann Arbor Trail, just south of Joy Road and east of Farmington Road.

This is the best park in Detroit in the summertime. Kids can spend the day splashing through the giant aquatic play area. Teens and adults alike will want to take the plunge down the park's two super-sized water slides. Families can take dip in the Wave Pool, or share a picnic on the park's shady grounds. Open Memorial - Labor Day weekend.

This park features two big, modern playscapes plus some of the good ole stuff, including a merry-go-round. One mom says it has the biggest slide SHE'S ever been on, and sturdy swings to sit on while you watch your kids at play. Located behind the Dairy Queen (a plus!) on Van Dyke.

Formerly known as Metro Beach Metropark, this one mile beach with a 1,600 foot boardwalk offers a wonderful view of Lake St. Clair. This 770-acre recreational facility is the place for fishing and picnicking – not to mention swimming in the olympic-size pool. Check out the water slide with a 120' long flume and a 17 foot vertical drop. The park also features a tennis court, an 18 hole miniature golf course, ice skating, ice hockey, ice fishing, bike and ski trails and more.
